ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, Patti moved to the small town of Puerto Vallarta in 1980, where she established a small art studio and gallery on the Rio Cuale Island, now a thriving artist community.
During her early years in Puerto Vallarta, Patti was primarily known for her line of hand painted clothing, colorful pieces depicting whimsical women, animals and still life.
Patti’s work has evolved over the years through self-exploration, discipline and under the tutorage and guide of several renowned artists, including native artist, Agustin Castro.
The evolution of Patti’s work has been clearly marked through the years by her transition of style and combination of mediums.
Patti continues to expand and explore her passion by working with local artists and teachers.
Today, Patti’s art can be found at Patti Gallardo Eclectic Art Gallery, in the heart of Old Town Puerto Vallarta.
